Job Position: Mid/Senior Java Engineer

Position description: Rapidly growing Ukrainian – Swedish Company is looking for the Mid/Senior Java Engineer for development and support of java web applications in licensing IT, telecoms and medtech bank areas.

Main responsibilities:

• Participation in functional and architectural design
• Implementation of new functionality
• Research and evaluating of technical tasks based on business requirements
• Direct communication with technical team of customer
• Suggesting technical and functional improvements
• Collaboration with R&D, QA, documentation and analytics teams
• Continuing improvement of development process
• Reporting to the Team Leader
• Possible short- term on-site work

Technical requirements:

• Deep knowledge of Java
• Knowledge and experience  of RDB design,  SQL and Stored procedures development
• Basic administration experience with one of the following databases: Oracle,  MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Knowledge  and experience with any Application Servers: JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic or GlassFish
• Knowledge of any following web frameworks: Struts, Spring MVC, JSF
• Knowledge of Web Services technologies (SOAP, REST, frameworks)
• Knowledge and experience of JDBC, ORM frameworks Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with Spring
• Knowledge of OOP, OOD, design patterns, UML
• Technical documentation writing skills
• Knowledge and experience with XML and related technologies (XSLT, XSD, XPath)
• Knowledge and understanding of QA procedures: Continuing Integration, Unit testing, quality metrics, code review tools, profiling tools, stress and performance testing tools
• Reporting generation tools (iText, JasperReports, FOP etc) is a plus
• Knowledge of JS + GWT, Dojo is a plus

 Other  Requirements:

• At least 2 years of commercial development experience with  Java programming language
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with emphasis on software systems.

• A flexible person that can switch easily between tasks.
