Deployment Engineer

Requirements:

• excellent knowledge and experience with the Linux OS;
• knowledge and experience with shell scripting language (bash);
• Will be a plus to know and have experience in usage, troubleshooting, administration and configuration:
  • Tools: Maven and Ant;
  • Scripting languages: Python and TCL;
  • Database: Oracle, DB2, HBase
  • Application servers:
    
    • IBM WAS 6.1/7.x/8.x
    • GlassFish
    • JBoss
  • Other Servers/Containers:
    
    • Apache HTTP Server
    • IBM HTTP Server
• ability to create documentation related to deployment and installation procedures; understanding of topics and content necessary in such kind of documentation;
• good reading and writing technical English, spoken English would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

• creating and maintaining projects’ build, installation, deployment scripts and documentation;
• releases management (perform all activities related to releasing new project version: SVN/GIT, Hudson, Maven, Artifactory, etc);
• releases delivery and support in local and customer’s environments;
• composing, documenting, delivery and support of release upgrade packages;
• virtual machines environment maintenance.
