Responsibilities and Duties:

Basic responsibilities

  • Developing WidgetEngine/WebBrowser based on WebKit for Smart TV and Window SDK
  • Developing remote Web inspector
  • Developing HbbTV / OIPF / Ginga-NCL requirements for broadcast service based on Web / HTML
  • WebKit graphics port optimization
  • Hardware accelerated compositing with OpenGLES/EGL
  • JavaScript Engine performance optimization
  • HTML5 related compliance enhancement
  • Windows / Linux emulator of WidgetEngine
  • Developing WebPlatform for low-end STB
  • User experience improvement for WebBrowser
  • Feature enhancement for WidgetEngine

Essential Job Functions


  • Developing WidgetEngine/WebBrowser based on WebKit for Smart TV and Window SDK
  • Understanding of W3C standard specification such as HTML / CSS / JavaScript / WebGL
  • Layout Engine / JavaScript Engine enhancement
  • JavaScript extension and plugin implementation
  • Linux system and graphics porting for WebEngine
  • Hardware accelerated compositing for high performance rendering
  • Developing HbbTV/OIPF / Ginga-NCL requirements for broadcast service based on Web / HTML
  • Extending WebEngine functionality to comply with HbbTV/OIPF/Ginga-NCL specifications
