BASIC REQUIREMENTS

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Cybernetics, Applied Mathematics, or Programming

• PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  
  • 3+ years of experience in UNIX, Linux system programming(C/C++), and overall DTV knowledge
• Mandatory Skills
  
  • C/C++ on Embedded Linux, GCC, GDB
  • Understanding MPEG-2 System, MPEG-2 Video and  H.264
• Additional Skills
  
  • C/C++ programming (Linux)
  • Developing experience for TV application

WORKSITE LOCATION

• Suwon (S. Korea)

LANGUAGE

• Good command of oral and written English

Responsibilities and Duties:

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing PVR  solutions (recording, time-shifting, playback, editing)
• Developing PVR application (UI/GUI, application scenario, application engine)
• Developing PVR system (recorder, player, editor, file management)
• Supporting multi-recording simultaneously
• Support the development and mass product, coordinating between HQ in Korea and oversea R&D center (especially China R&D center)
• Developing PVR application & system for IPTV
• Developing PVR features for network storage
• Developing new PVR features of various broadcast specification (ex. Freeview+, CI+)
• Essential job functions
  
  • Developing PVR UI/GUI application
  • Developing application engine that provides abstract API for application
  • Porting PVR system modules on various hardware platform
  • Coordinating between HQ in Korea and China R&D center
  • Supporting development of oversea R&D center(especially China R&D center)
