SITA is looking for Specialist/Engineer Service & Infrastructure Operations to extend current IT support team on Sheremetyevo Airport.

Place of work: Sheremetyevo Airport

Willingness to work 'on call service' shifts (out of regular working hours)


Job Purpose:

  • Provide site operation administration and maintenance management for systems and products.
  • Manage configuration processing, component installation, software installation and modification.
  • Provide a first line troubleshooting service for customers ensuring that all systems operate with maximum efficiency.
  • Coordinate 2nd Level support requirements with the Remote Management Center (RMC, Montreal).
  • Actively manage the reception of equipment on site and coordinate the CORE installation with the implementation teams.
  • Manage and perform the local staging and installation of all workstations and peripherals across the airport with local contractor BAC. Manage the asset management process using Trillium processes.
  • Assist SITA installation teams (Brussels for Common Use; South Africa and London for Airport Management System) and third party consultants and installation specialist (LogicsOne, EPAM).
  • Administer the applications delivered by SITA: AFTN, SitaTex, AFA, CUTE, CUSS, CLF, BRS, BIS, AMS/DIS, FIDS.
  • Work with the local customer maintenance team and Customer site administration team.
  • Coordinate customer related on-site activities, including application testing, acceptance testing and installation planning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Successful installation and acceptance of equipment in SVO Terminal 3.
  • Implementation of a customer support process
  • Carry out the tasks assigned by the RMC for new gateway installation, new Terminal Emulator installation, software upgrade, subsystem integration and configuration modifications.
  • Report immediately to the RMC all problems that are beyond the ability of the Site Administrator. Request remote product support from AS Technical Center.
  • Perform on-site BETA testing for application or platform software as required.
  • Full Server Administration of Windows 2000/XP & Windows/SQL 2003 Server), incl. additional software & hardware installation, administration of necessary Server Software like Backup, SMS software etc.
  • User Administration (creation of profiles, policies, login scripts, user menu, templates, batch scripts etc.), administration of domain network (NDS)
  • Installation assistance & administration of network components (active & passive) - CISCO devices.


Education & Qualifications:

  • Technical education (idealy electronic engineering or telecommunication)


Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a Systems Specialist/ Engineer / Administrator responsible for support activities and LAN, WAN equipment or Aircom & Messaging (ACM) domain
  • Must have dealt directly with external customers delivering to SLAs
  • Experience of working in the Airport / Airline industry will be strongly preferred.


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge and understanding of network, communication protocols and routing protocols like IP, IPX, NAT, DNS, OSPF, RIP etc.) is mandatory.
  • Ability to support, troubleshoot, analyze and investigate in one or more technology / vendor environment
  • Ability to install and configure applications in one or more technology / vendor environment
  • Knowledge of ITIL and service management practices and procedures preferred
  • Ability to analyze, draw conclusions and create solutions to customer's moderately complex problems
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Ability to use a team approach to solve problems when appropriate
  • Communicative English language (written and spoken) and fluent Russian language
