Description:

Intel Labs, System on a Chip Platform Architecture Lab is looking for an intern to take part in the multidisciplinary research project in the area of novel computing architectures and design flows for SoC. Position requires technical, highly motivated and creative individual with some RTL design background and good knowledge of modern SoC HW architectures, willing to study and grow personal skills as part of the skillful international research team.
On a regular basis, you will need to explore the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products. You will also have opportunity to contribute to scientific literature and conferences and participate in the development of intellectual property.

Qualifications:

• You should be a day student pursuing a Master or PhD degree in the CS or EE domains with specific topic of interest and good theoretical base in digital design for SoCs and embedded systems.
• You should also possess some practical RTL design experience.

Mandatory qualifications:

• Solid initial knowledge of Verilog/VHDL/SV (at least one)
• Good working knowledge of at least one modern CAD flows(any vendor, FPGA or ASIC)
• Knowledge of at least one processor architecture
• Good English

Additional qualifications (a plus):

• Back-end flows experience (ICC, formal verification)
• Scripting (tcl/tk/Perl/shell)
• DSP theory knowledge
• Existing publications/conferences contributions

Preference to graduating/postgraduate students with matching research topics (part-time employment is possible).
