The Role and the Candidate 
Your challenge is to design and implement Netbiscuits-based mobile web applications and lightweight native client applications for Internet-enabled mobile devices like smartphones and media tablets. This includes analyzing customers' requirements, conceiving technical solutions, creating specification documents, implementing interfaces to customers' backend-systems etc. You also communicate with customers on a technical level to discuss requirements, solve problems, conduct software demos and maybe from time to time support our sales staff in customer meetings. 
As part of the Platform Services Team you will work closely with other team members based in Germany and Singapore. Additionally you are interacting with the Test & QA and Platform Operations Teams in Germany. 

Main responsibilities: 

• Conception and implementation of innovative mobile web applications based on the Netbiscuits platform 
• Assist in designing the application architecture 
• Implement GUIs 
• Setting up database structures and implementing the mobile portal backend- and frontend-layer 
• Evaluation of new platforms and design of prototype applications 

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related area 
• Ideally 2+ years of experience in software development in web or mobile internet 
• Expert knowledge required in: 
- Java, Web-Applications (JSP/Servlets/Struts) 
- Web technologies: XHTML, HTML, HTML5, CSS(3), JavaScript, AJAX 
• Good knowledge required in: 
- Eclipse, Netbeans or other development environments 
- Applying version management as well as build and test tools 
- XML (XPath, XSLT), JSON, and Web services (SOAP, RESTful) 
• Experience in relational databases (database design, SQL, Stored Procedures) and web application server technologies (Apache, JBoss, Tomcat) 
• Highly skilled in technical problem analysis and conception of solutions
• High flexibility and adaptability to fast changing market situations 
• Ablility to work independently and in cross-border teams 
• Good communication skills, fluent spoken and written English 
• Enthusiasm for mobile internet technology
