On behalf of Playtech Ciklum is looking for a Senior Java (back end) developer for new iPoker team. Playtech is the world’s largest publicly-traded online gaming software supplier, and offers cutting-edge, value-added solutions to the industry's leading operators. Our products: Complete best-of-breed product suite, including casino, casual games, sports betting, live gaming, lottery and the world’s largest poker and bingo networks.

Job description and tasks:

·         Development of iPoker back-end components. Includes implementation of business logic on server, communication components, and integration with message brokers and databases.
 

Requirements:

·         Higher education in IT or Computer Science.

·         At least 5 years prior experience in software development.

·         Proven experience in JVM performance optimizations

·         Experience with Hibernate and relational databases; Oracle is preferred.

·         Experience with JMS and message brokers

·         Proven experience in 3rd party API integration

·         Strong technical knowledge and analytical mindset, ability to develop software components independently, including design, high coding standards, and mentoring others.

·         Good understanding of a product life cycle; acquaintance with Agile methodologies is beneficial.

·         Ambitious, motivated and a good team player.

·         Good English (written and spoken).

Beneficial skills:

·         Experience with End-to-End scaling and In-Memory data grids; Hazelcast preferred

·         Knowledge of Ajax-based RIA technologies is an advantage

·         Knowledge of any WS Stack implementation; Axis2 is preferred.

·         Experience with migrating old components to Java 6/7

·         Proactive, able to contribute to the overall quality of the product by improving architecture and processes.

·         Background in gaming/gambling industries is an advantage.
