Main responsibilities:

  • Incident management:
    • Communicates with users and other application support parties to understand complex incidents;
    • If possible, provides workaround;
    • Performs root cause analysis;
    • Resolves complex incidents, communicates resolution to business and gathers business feedback about solution provided;
    • Documents activities according to corporate standard using Incident management process supporting tools and templates.
  • Development and implementation of application changes:
    • Identifies changes;
    • Participates in Impact analysis of changes, including but not limited to: collection of user requirements and signing them off, evaluation of technical realization, etc.;
    • Designs and develops changes, performs Preliminary Testing and prepares User Acceptance Test scenarios;
    • Prepares change for it implementation in productive environment;
    • Documents activities according to corporate standard using Change management process supporting tools and templates.
  • Knowledge management
    • Enriches Incidents management supporting tool with typical solutions;
    • Trains Key users;
    • Participates in preparation of user instructions, SOPs.
  • Continuous improvement of service:
    • Applies functional knowledge, technical expertise and good practices to identify and raise possibilities which will optimize application and business-process, minimize maintenance and support requirements and increase delivered business value.
  • Technical infrastructure support:
    • Participates in capacity planning activities;
    • Participates in maintenance of MS SQL Server DB and/or Oracle DB, administration of Cognos solutions, platform upgrades;
    • Participates in application of service continuity procedures: back-up, DRP testing etc.

Type of role:

  • Serves as an expert resource supporting Shared BI Environment for all JnJ Sectors.
  • Designs, develops and deploys Shared BI solution and components.
  • Works effectively as part of a team.

Decision Making:

  • Gathers, consolidates and leverages the needs of multiple users.
  • While designing and implementing technical solution Balances between I/T standards and strategies and business needs to guide well-informed decisions.
  • Applies compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, provides documentation as necessary, and participates in compliance activities as required.

Technical Expertise:

  • Good understanding of Information Systems Integration mechanisms.
  • Confident knowledge of Windows Workflow Foundation.
  • Solid skills in Web Development Technologies – .NET development (C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net) and .NET Framework (C#.Net, ASP.Net), HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript.
  • Well acquainted with MS SQL DB, MS SQL Integration Services.

 Business Knowledge:

  • General understanding of existing business-processes and reporting requirements, and the ability to factor them into technical direction and recommendations.
