Position Summary

The role of the Systems Engineer – Networking Products, is to accelerate sales cycles and to drive revenue for Citrix’s product line of Application Delivery solutions in particular, Citrix NetScaler, Repeater and Branch Repeater, Access Gateway Enterprise and Application Firewall-based solutions. These objectives will be achieved primarily, through the motivation of Citrix channel partners, technical contribution in pre-sales engagements and demand generation activities. The Systems Engineer (SE) will work alongside, Citrix Sales and SE teams and/or Citrix Partners, to bridge the gap between technology and the business goals of customers. The SE is responsible for the delivery and success of the introduction of new advanced technologies, solutions and revenue growth. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in identifying and matching technology opportunities with the customer’s business issues and objectives, as well as field and channel partner training & enablement.

Working in close alignment with territorial commercial objectives, the SE will be responsible for the realization of the strategic objectives detailed in the Regional Business Plan. Included in these plans are activities designed to win references and endorsements from targeted Enterprise customers and pre-qualified channel partners; support strategic marketing and demand generation initiatives; establish, motivate and up-skill a technical community comprising peers within the regional Citrix organization plus, technologists from the Citrix channel and customer base

The successful candidate will deliver technical solution presentations and demonstrations in briefings and demand generation events. They must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to present visionary technical solutions to non-technical customer executives as well as IT professionals. The SE must complement product expertise with good interpersonal skills in order to develop and foster the technical relationship(s) with both partners and customers. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the Sales team to define the functional requirements of pilot and managing it through closure.

The SE will be a technical authority for the NetScaler & Repeater product lines, and will need at minimum, administration-level familiarity with other Citrix offerings including Citrix XenApp and Citrix XenDesktop. The SE must also be attentive to new competitive products or market positioning and be prepared to deliver a Citrix value proposition that directly addresses competitive market offerings.

The primary duties for this position include (but are not limited to):

• Act as technical expert in the Citrix NetScaler, Repeater and Branch Repeater, Access Gateway Enterprise & Application Firewall product line
• Work collaboratively with the business development team to establish and develop opportunities for Citrix NetScaler, Repeater and Branch Repeater & Application Firewall and Access Gateway Enterprise solution.
• Ensure successful technical implementations of Citrix NetScaler, Repeater and Branch Repeater, Access Gateway Enterprise & Application Firewall solutions
• Create and deliver technical product presentations and/or training sessions to channel partners and customers
• Proactively expand knowledge and supplement skills through appropriate use of online resources, manuals, and professional relationships
• Travel to customer sites for pre-sales evaluations, including installation and customization or upgrades of both hardware and software.

• Completes paperwork and uses internal Citrix account management applications in a timely fashion (expenses, CRM entries, feedback questionnaires)
• Defines and create new business opportunities, presentation material, positioning statements, product enhancements, and/or technical or sales tools to help generate revenue
• Is flexible in adapting to changes within Citrix, and thinks from a big picture perspective when evaluating need for change
• Contributes technical knowledge and best practices to internal and external knowledge stores
• Proactively seek ways to expand technical knowledge
• Good technical, problem solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

Requirements:

The individual must have at least 5 years of IT industry experience in sales, consulting, or other customer-facing role, preferably with demonstrable hands-on technical expertise. The individual must be flexible, dependable, and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies.

The SE should expect to travel 30-40% of the time within the country or region (CIS).

The SE should have a thorough understanding of desktop and server operating systems software, and proficiency in common office productivity software such as Microsoft Office.

The SE should have demonstrated a broad understanding of Microsoft Windows Server System, Linux, virtualization platforms and Citrix Network Appliance products and solutions. Key requirements include:

The individual should have a solid background in networking, security and WEB applications, specifically:-

• Networking Fundamentals, including TCP/IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Firewall
• In depth knowledge of TCP/IP with the ability to interpret network traces to identify network problems
• Knowledge WAN Optimization technologies, QoS, Compression etc.
• Knowledge of HTTP protocol including the security vulnerabilities associated with it
• Experience in designing or maintaining high availability networks to include VRRP, Load balancing and dynamic routing protocols
• Needs to be technical expert on IP networking and WAN Optimization technologies
• Must have demonstrable, current experience, of hands-on technical expertise
• Spoken and written English

Desired capabilities include:-

• Higher certification of Citrix products (e.g. CCEA, CCIA…)

Cisco CCNP or equivalent qualification
