JOB PURPOSE:

Analysis of business needs, definition of business requirements, preparation of software solutions design to satisfy these requirements, conduct User Acceptance Testing

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordination of all development, acquisition and support activities to ensure the integration of systems, sharing of data and systems development risk minimization
• Monitor the quality and compliance of the systems development; coordinate development and QA
• For assigned deliveries, this role acts as first IT contact point for business during solution implementation and maintenance
• Preliminary analysis for new feature requests coming from IM business users
• Scope definition / maintenance for IM projects; breaking it down into milestones
• Collecting and managing stakeholders’ requirements/expectations
• Solution design to meet stakeholders’ expectations & scope (in cooperation with IT product development teams); obtaining formal signoff from business requestors for the solution
• Cooperating with IT product teams on ad-hoc basis during solution implementation to clarify requirements, test functional units, etc
• Responsible for review/validation of IT solutions provided by IT product teams from business perspective; act as business representative for IT product teams
• Organizing and conducting User Acceptance Testing with business requestors
• Provides business analysis for support issues escalated by support teams or raised directly from business users

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

ESSENTIAL

• Technical university degree
• Understanding of software lifecycle, experience with any issue tracking tool
• Proven experience with scope/requirements management, systems modelling and object-oriented analysis

PREFERRED

• Deep knowledge in asset management business from front-office, back-office, risks and finance perspectives: open-ended/closed/real estate/onshore/offshore  funds, onshore/offshore discretionally managed accounts, wealth management, reporting, operational and risk management.
• Understanding of asset management functions
• SQL knowledge on level enough to build query for extracting data from databases
• Programmer background
• Project manager background
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques

LIKELY / NECESSARY EXPERIENTIAL BACKGROUND:

ESSENTIAL

• Minimum 3 years in software analysis and design
• Experience of working for investment and/or commercial bank in IT BA capacity
• Experience in supporting / enhancing legacy IT systems where not everything is well-documented
• Communication in English with native speakers
• Experience in writing documentation in English
• Experience of GUI design
• Experience of communication with front office personnel and senior management
• Experience in working with external vendors
• Knowledge of vendor front-to-back solutions supporting asset management business

PREFERRED

• Knowledge of 1C Applications
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics CRM
