 Representative office of IT company is looking for a  CTO.

Description:  

The CTO will be responsible for the delivery against timeframe and road map of the project.

He/she will need to have strong coordination skills and be able to manage upwards as well as  downwards in a positive and professional manner.

A world class innovative developer, he/she will be able to inspire current and new ideas in an entrepreneurial environment It is essential that the CTO can demonstrate a strong experience in start up projects and have world class communication as the CEO is UK based 50% of the time. The CTO will be the right hand man for the CEO.

Requirements:

• Coordinate and review the work of the front end and back end developers making sure that all work is delivered to the highest quality within the time scales set.

• Delivery on time from the set project road map, carefully planning each release.

• Strong architecture skills gained from previous experience building in the online environment.

• Will need experience in at least 1 other start up company and understand the importance of driving the project at low costs and time frames.

• Problem solving ability must be of the highest level and display a high level of intelligence  to overcome issues that will be found within the development of the project.

• Must be able to create innovative solutions to problems and tasks.

• Skills with CSS, XHTML, JAVA, JAVASCRIPT framework, AJAX and HTTP Skills MUST include world class JAVA and JS understanding and deep knowledge/hands on experience of  JQUERY based apps.

• Would require at least 5 years experience in this development field with at least one other software development methodology.

• The CTO will be expected to code as well as the Java developers. This is a hands on role which requires leadership in a hands on way.  

• The project is heavily reliant on complicated algorithms and the CTO will need to have experience of this field.

• Some knowledge of google products especially google transit. Also any work with maps including google and openstreetmap would be an advantage.

• Familiar with cloud SP such as Amazon and be able to efficiently manage change over project from in house to cloud with intricate testing at each stage to ensure clean change.

• Data mining experience is required as this is a high load project with a lot of transport available to the user via the project. This information will be dependant on clean information  to the user therefore data mining is very important.

• Full experience in developing and integrating xml docs and external supplier xml/api into in house systems.

• Experience with UNIX system administration and web server configuration.

• Knowledge of Internet protocols and RFC standards, database management systems, and revision control systems.

• Familiarity with technical requirements of Internet marketing and search engine optimization. Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management.

• Familiarity with consumer privacy and payments industry compliance requirements.

• Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.

• On-call availability and periodic overtime.

• Fluent in English Language both oral and written as CEO is English.
