Responsibilities:

• Guide senior but new to RoR development team in correct programming / technological directions (RoR specific)
• Be part of development team, build new innovative product based on RoR

Qualifications:

• Comfortable developing any portion of Rails application stack from data store layer to browser
• Excels at designing and iterating solutions in small teams
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• BS, Computer Science or similar
• An ideal candidate would also have:
  
  • Good Javascript and XHR coding skills. jQuery experience is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of HTML and CSS best practices
  • Database and data modeling skills - experience with Postgresql and NoSQL variants, like Hadoop and other map/reduce technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud computing (particularly Amazon Web Services, Heroku), or other platform and linux administration skills.
