Skelia invites Oracle Database Administrator (ref: TCB-DBA-DWH04) for long-term and full-time employment at its service center in Lviv, Ukraine.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Extensive DBA experience with Oracle   database version 10g (experience with 11g is a plus)
• Experience of Oracle Enterprise Manager or equivalent
• Experience of upgrading and patching Oracle databases and technology
• Experience of Oracle systems on UNIX platforms (preferably Solaris, Linux) and Windows
• PL/SQL and SQL development/tuning skills
• Oracle Application server and Weblogic knowledge -desirable
• MS SQL administration knowledge is a big advantage
• SAP BO administration - advantage

YOUR MISSION:

• Ensure availability and performance of the databases which support the system
• Proactively monitor database systems to ensure security with a minimum downtime on Oracle interface
• Allocate associated hardware resources to the databases to guarantee high resilience and performance tuning
• Responsible for improvement, maintenance of databases, along with troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL development and give consultation to development teams
• You'll manage all primary DBA activities such as checking on table space problems, fragmentation, nightly/weekly backup problems and responding to any Oracle errors.
• Maintain existing systems, including software upgrades and vendor supplied software patches
