Systems Engineer – Russia

SMART is recruiting a systems engineer for its Moscow office. Reporting to the country manager, Russia, you will provide high-quality support to distributors and end users in Russia. You will strengthen Ministry of Education engagement, promote software capabilities for SMART Board interactive whiteboards and increase participation at events requiring solutions, set-up and demonstrations.


Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Testing new products and complicated solutions with local software and operating systems, including Linux®
  • Supporting the help desk and technical support hotline for SMART’s customers, including distributors and end users
  • Coordinating sales activities to promote software for SMART Board interactive whiteboards and other SMART products
  • Arranging and maintaining hardware and software at SMART’s office and demo training facility
  • Providing technical support at out-of-office events, including seminars, exhibitions, conferences, training sessions and Ministry of Education activities
  • Providing training sessions at the Ministry of Education and related organizations
  • Increasing SMART’s brand awareness among distributors and end users
  • Coordinating and managing the set-up of a nationwide service structure for SMART products, including distributor and third-party service centers
  • Traveling up to 50 percent of the time in EMEA and occasionally to North America

You have the following qualifications:

  • Degree in information technology (IT), electronics or a related field
  • At least five years’ experience in information technology, networking sales, technical support, training or help desk support
  • Experience developing training and technical support activities
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate issues with peers, the channel and customers using a win-win philosophy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to close sales
  • Ability to handle new and unexpected tasks
  • Ability to work long hours when required
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Valid international passport with no travel restrictions
