Position Description:
  • We are seeking super-star Android Engineer to work on our core mobile and web-based products.
  • Carbonite offers online backup and online photo hosting to consumers and businesses.
  • We are at the forefront of cloudcomputing, providing safety and security for our users while moving the heavy lifting to the datacenter.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • This position is focused on development of client application for protection devices from the theft. Main responsibilities
  • will include:
  • Work on cutting edgesolution in a small team within big project
  • Work as part ofdistributed and highly professionalteam, follow the Scrum and Agile principles
  • Produce the high qualityresults, work products, business oriented solutions
  • Ensure the code is unittested
  • Closely work with thetest team on test automation and increasing overall product quality
  • Quickly grasp thebusiness requirements and be able to decompose them in to technical tasks
  • Make the estimations forown tasks and activities, prioritize them, plan the workflow and report the progress to the team on daily basis
  • Actively participate inDaily stand up, Iteration planning and Retrospective Meetings
  • Quickly and effectivelysolve the issues
  • Understand the businessenvironment and priorities
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience ofdevelopment solutions on Android
  • Excellent Java SEknowledge, OOP
  • Native SDK knowledge(C++) is the plus
  • Experience indevelopment for iOS is the plus
  • Knowledge ofclient-server communication protocols (C2DM), JSON, Secured connections, dataencryption
  • Experience in JUnittesting, Continuous Integrations Systems (Bamboo, etc), Ant
  • TDD, Extreme Programmingunderstanding
  • Good English
