 Software Engineer

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

• This position is for an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop and troubleshoot real time embedded software for X-Ray medical systems. Engineers in this position will work as part of a team, interfacing with electrical, mechanical and manufacturing engineers.
• Engineers at this level are expected to work on a wide variety of complex issues and develop solutions where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and/or frequent use of creativity.
• Engineers in this position will be faced with a wide variety of complex technical challenges on different platforms and technologies.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience programming real time embedded systems with 8, 16 and 32 bit microprocessors / microcontrollers
• Expertise with the C programming language.
• Experience developing in Microsoft’s Windows CE  or Embedded Linux environment is desired
• Experience programming with C++   for embedded systems is desired.
• Good working knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems
• Advanced troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
• Experience developing in  QNX OS environment will be preferable, especially with Qt using
