GlobalLogic is looking for Professional Services Specialist experience for its Kyiv office.

Required skills:

• 2+ years’ background in IT (preferably IT consulting with a software house);
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills;
• Highly motivated, enterprising, fast and proactive learner; excellent team player;
• Solid hands-on experience with some or all of the following disciplines;
• Cross platform system administration (Unix and Windows);
• Scripting / programming (e.g. UNIX shell, Perl, Python...);
• Database Administration (e.g. Oracle, SQL…;
• Networking;
• Data Centre Management;
• Service Desk Management;
• Willingness to travel for billable utilization of up to 75% of time (esp. in Europe, but may extend to worldwide).

Desired skills:

• Virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Xen, Amazon);
• Established IT operations methodology experience (e.g. ITSM/ITIL);
• Appreciation of project lifecycle concepts;
• Established IT Operations methodology experience;
• BSM solutions within Service Assurance or Automation (e.g. HPOV, Tivoli, Opsware, BMC solutions, etc.);
• Bare-metal provisioning (e.g. Sun Jumpstart, Compaq SmartStart, PXE…);
• Additional foreign language skills a bonus;
• Experience in working with other countries / cultures a bonus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients, partners, teammates, project managers, architects and consulting management to deliver scalable, re-usable, and well-documented solutions;
• Work with Solution Architects/Business Process Architects and other System Specialists to gather and interpret business requirements into design specifications;
• Drive solution adoption and business value realization through the analysis and transformation of clients’ existing data centre operational models – driving our customers to manage their IT as a business;
• Ensure successful delivery of BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management solutions within customer environments aligned to customer business priorities;
• Deliver presentations at technical and managerial level (e.g. solution overview, business solution design, delivery progress updates, solution adoption plans, etc.);
• Maintain open lines of communication throughout each project phase, appropriately highlighting progress, risks and issues to all stakeholders, both internal and external;
• Pro-actively maintain a deep technical and functional knowledge of BMC solutions and offerings.

Optional experience and knowledge:

• Atrium Orchestrator
• Programming concepts and development lifecycle;
• Systems Integration experience using various technologies, including but not limited to web services.
• HTTP and CLI
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming; Java or similar programming experience a plus;
• Skills with XML and related technologies;
• Existing proficiency of XPATH / XSLT nice to have must be able to learn quickly;
• Network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, RDP, SSH, Telnet, SNMP, SMTP, RPC, and SOAP.
