Project description: the development of a service which synchronizes data between client interfaces (iPhone / iPad, Android, Desktop, WEB) for a well-known German training system. Technologies: REST services, Restlet, Jetty, Active MQ, Apache Cassandra, iOS / Android. The challenge for developers is to deal with huge data volumes (20 billions of entries, 20 terabytes of data), Cassandra, Jetty and Active MQ clustering.

Requirements:

1. Good knowledge and expertise in Java programming language

2. Understanding and practical implementation of the object oriented analysis and design, design patterns, distributed systems architecture, knowledge of UML

3. Experience in Web development using the majority of following technologies: JEE, Servlet, JSP, Spring, Struts, famous template engines (JSP, Velocity, Freemarker), Hibernate, Ant

4. Knowledge of client-side technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

5. Knowledge of XML, AJAX, Web Services

6. Knowledge of relational databases, experience with at least one of the Database Management Servers (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySql, etc), expertise in SQL programming

7. Understanding of the commercial software development process, stages of the software life cycle

8. Knowledge of Unix-like OS

9. Experience with Android platform

Preferred skills:

1. RESTful services and Restlet

2. NoSQL databases

3. JMS, Active MQ

4. Agile / Scrum
