The western telecommunication company is looking for DWDM Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Perform site survey activity;
• SW installation, loading and configuration;
• Network Integration;
• Commissioning and testing;
• Customer Acceptance subscription according to installation specifications;
• Investigation of appeared problem and if necessary work with Optics Technical Support Center, Optical NPI Competence Center Team;
• Relationships with other company`s units worldwide;
• Relationships with customers

Requirements:

• Higher education (degree in telecommunication or information technology);
• Strong telecommunication technology knowledge in one or more of areas – Optical, DWDM, SDH, NMS and relevant ITU standards;
• Strong knowledge of network alarm, event and performance analysis;
• Theoretical and/or practical (testing, troubleshooting) knowledge of the Optics networks;
• Knowledge with HP UNIX, HP Openview and/or SUN Solaris, X-Windows environment and data systems (bridges, switches and routers);
• Knowledge and experience in using various test and measurement equipment;
• Ability to learn effectively and quickly;
• Customer orientation, good verbal and written communication skills, stress tolerance;
• Team player with strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently;
• A flexible, positive and creative attitude to change;
• Good written and spoken English, ability to understand technical documentation;
• Be ready for often business trips
