ROLE:
We are looking for people with excellent customer skills, who can communicate effectively with customers and others. Candidates must be comfortable with taking ownership of problems, and demonstrate an ability to work on their own initiative. We are expecting a flexible approach to working to share-in-tasks and responsibility, and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
A successful candidate will be part of IT EMEA team and report directly to IT Europe Group Leader.
The main duties for this PC Support position are:
- Provide level 2 support for internal customers in Moscow and other sites in Europe
- Provide assistance when required for other professional teams
RESPONSIBILITES:
As part of the ongoing tasks, the IT PC Support employee is responsible for:
- Carry out fault diagnosis/fix on PC systems and peripherals
- Carry out upgrading of PC hardware and peripherals
- Carry out changes to PC or peripherals Hardware/Software
- Carry out installations of hardware add-ons to PC systems and peripherals
- Carry out software configuration on operating systems and applications
- Ensuring compliance with organisation policies, procedures and work instructions
- Carry out support for Networks and Data Centre as directed by professional teams
- Learn how to carry out fault diagnosis/fix of the data and voice network, cabling infrastructure and telephony systems, for which assistance will be given
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
- Proven record of 3 years of Second level support for a medium/large size company
- Proficiency in supporting various Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 2008)
- Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong hardware knowledge of PCs, laptops, and peripherals
- Experience installing and managing Cisco network equipment
- Able to work overtime
- Able to travel
- Fluent spoken and written English
Desirable
- Experience in working in a multi cultural environment
- MCSE, MCP, CCNA certifications
- Experience in using one of the following applications: Clarity, Remedy, Vantive or similar
- Experience in Windows servers installations and backup
- Experience in Linux/UNIX support
