Responsibilities:

·        Participate in design and development of Big Data analytical applications from product vision to implementation.

·        Design, support and continuous enhancement of cloud deployment infrastructure: continuous integration and delivery, databases, cloud services, systems monitoring, etc.

·        Consult developers on infrastructure configuration issues (OS performance optimization, network bottlenecks, storage configuration, etc).

·        Work inside the team of software engineers 

·        Collaboration with distributed team of developers, testers, analysts (Moscow, Kharkov, San-Francisco)

·        Collaboration with corporate and customer’s IT services

Requirements:

·        Fluency in Unix/Linux OS administration: RHEL/CentOS/Fedora is highly recommended, Ubuntu/Debian is plus.

·        Fluency in shell scripting; knowledge of coreutils tools.

·        Network administration, network protocols knowledge (TCP/IP, SSH, FTP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP), firewall configuration, implementation in Linux

·        Setting up and configuring common services experience: web (Apache), ftp, dns, nfs, vpn, ldap, mail servers.

·        Experience in scripting on any of Ruby, Python, Perl or other is required.

·        General knowledge of Linux architecture

·        Understanding of general programming concepts

·        Desire and ability for quick learning of new tools and technologies

·        Good communication skills and technical English

Desired:

·        Experience with Hadoop stack (Hadoop MR, HBase, Zookeeper)

·        Experience with public clouds: Amazon WebServices, GoGrid or others.

·        Deployment or configuration automation experience (Chef, Puppet are treated as a plus).  

·        Virtual Machines configuration and usage (Xen, VMWare, VirtualBox, KVM, OpenVZ).

·        Monitoring systems (Ganglia, Nagios)

·        Database administration (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or other)

·        Version control systems: Git, Subversion. 

·        J2EE servers configuration and deployment.

·        Build and Software project management tools (Ant, Maven, etc).

·        CI servers configuration (Hudson/Jenkins, Cruise Control).
