Software Design Engineer in Test

Our Dynamics NAV (Navision) team is located at the Microsoft Development Center in Moscow, Russia. We develop and test global and country specific features as integral part of global Dynamics NAV R&D Team. Our team is looking for a talented, passionate, and curious Software Development Engineer in Test to be part of NAV Application ERM test team.

The NAV Application team delivers the business logic that is the heart of Dynamics NAV - ERP software that thousands of businesses throughout the world rely on to manage their financial data or run their warehousing and manufacturing operations. The Application ERM team’s strategy moving forward is to grow the functional richness of the Finance Management by providing new features like E-Payments, Electronic Banking, Cost Accounting and Cash Flow Forecasting. Our team embraces agile development practices and we value teamwork, diverse input, and a clever idea.

The NAV Application ERM team is looking for an experienced Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) to do the following:

• Create and review high quality test plans.
• Collaborate with discipline peers to drive testability into the product.
• Work closely with discipline partners to build upon and enhance the already strong team culture around quality and shipping.
• Understand customer scenarios and be a customer advocate on the feature team.
• Build smart, reliable, and simple world-ready test automation solutions that validate features across integration boundaries and multiple countries.
• Measure, analyze, track and communicate test status for your area.
• Mentor and grow others, freely sharing knowledge and expertise with the team.

Qualifications:

Above all else, we are looking for smart and passionate team players with the following set of credentials:

• 2+ years’ experience testing and shipping high quality software products.
• An open and collaborative work style.
• An ability to think fast and learn quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to get deliverables finished, deployed and put into use
• Proven design, coding, and debugging skills with proficiency in an object-oriented language (for example, C#, Java, or C++).
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and object oriented programming best practices.
• A passion for quality products, tests, and code.
• A commitment to building simple, elegant software that customers will love.
• Excellent English communication skills - written and oral.
• BS/MS in computer science OR equivalent industry experience.

Optional Qualifications

• Experience in testing or developing ERP solutions is a plus.
• Knowledge of NAV Application and C/AL is a plus.
