• Project description:

The goal of the Open Gateway project is  to provide asynchronous communication middleware that supports various network protocols and data formats for Playtech and its partners’ products . The system also should provide  simple and state-of-the-art API for other products and developers to use all supported protocols transparently. It helps rapidly adapt their applications to new market segments and create new revenue streams through application enablement and the creation of new distribution channels. Key characteristics of the system are: modularity, scalability, tired distribution, event driven design, service oriented and distributed architecture. To achieve listed characteristics the following modern technologies and frameworks are used: OSGi, Spring Framework and Spring Dynamic Modules, Netty, Apache Karaf, Maven, Google

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience with Java.
• Good knowledge of object oriented design, design patterns and patterns of enterprise applications architecture.
• Experience with Spring Framework.
• Experience developing/designing large software systems.
• Concurrency and multithreading.
• Experience in agile development environment.
• Education: B.A/B.Sc. degree in computer/electrical/software engineering.
• Excellent team player.
• Flexibility, ability to work in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.
• Self-learner.
• Good English.
• Willing for constant learning.

Desired skills:

• Experience with Spring Dynamic Modules
• Experience with OSGI platform
• Experience with open source projects
• Experience in networking – TCP/IP, Http, WebSocket. Experience with Netty and/or Mina network application frameworks
• Experience with Hazelcast or other distributed caching
