About project:

• The company is a well-established software house based in Dubai developing online cost optimization and workflow products for the maritime logistics industry. 

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

Required Experience:

• 2 years in a testing/equivalent role 
• Practical experience with open and closed system testing (black and white box testing) 
• Practical experience of UI automated testing tools like: Selenium, Sahi 
• Good grasp of prevalent software quality methodologies 
• Background in testing web applications (client-server applications will be considered). 
• -Strong desire to advocate and deliver excellent customer experience 
   

Demonstrably good skills and experience in:

• Written and oral communication, 
• Attention to detail, 
• Excellent problem solving, 
• Ability to work with a team – developers, customer reps, BA, managers, end users, etc. 
• Demonstrably competent in gathering and disseminating software product requirements from diverse sources. 
• Demonstrably competent in gathering requirements from diverse sources and translating them to executable test plans. 
• Ability to multitask and be self-driven in fast paced and pressured settings 
• Track record of building and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers 
• Scripting skills and experience in Linux shell, Perl, Hudson (Groovy) etc
• Experience using practical tools such as logs to conduct defect investigations 
   

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to testing role in an agile development environment 
• Ability to code in Java 
• Ability to write Unit tests 
• Practical SQL 
• Experience working in a related technical integration capacity (build/integration  engineer) 
• Testing in a Linux environment.
