About team:

The Ricardo Group – part of the MIH Group, a subsidiary of the South African based media company Naspers – operates with Online Marketplaces in Switzerland, Greece as well as in Denmark, Norway, Italy and France.

Ricardo Shops.ch is an e-commerce platform, offering a variety of goods in a very widespread catalog. From music to hi-tech, gardening tools to sports equipment, clothing to books, we try and offer the widest possible range of items to our customers.

Shops.ch allows users to select items from different sellers, and buy them by single check out process through different payment means (invoice, prepayment, credit card).

To achieve this, our platform syndicates the catalogs of a number of well-known Swiss retailers and relies on external finance partners for credit checking, and online card payments.

The main axes of the site are:

• Shops interfacing (catalog updating, order export etc.), this is the “invisible” part of the site, that allows us to manage our retailers.
• Category browsing and searching, this allows the user to find what he needs.
• Basket / Checkout system, to buy the items, and generate revenue
• Personal section, either for the retailer, where he can modify his settings, and recently we created a Buyer section, where the buyer can manage their orders, addresses and other personal details

Required technical skills:

• Strong .NET(C#) skills (3-5 years)
• Good experience in HTML and JavaScript (jQuery/AJAX/Json)
• Knowledge of CSS/SEO
• MS SQL skills
• Knowledge of e-commerce environment/websites and payment systems
• Agile/SCRUM experience
• PHP skills will be a plus
• Good English skills
