Main duties and responsibilities:

• Support Sharepoint queries and issues that have been handed over by Global Service Desk – 1st level support.
• Proactively monitor and manage business critical Sharepoint Services as well as legacy application systems to identify issues, trends and potential problem areas
• Participate in different projects related to Sharepoint services (development of new functionality, content migration, etc.) 
• Application monitoring, performance tuning, testing and availability/capacity planning
• Work closely with DBA function to ensure availability and performance essential database services within application infrastructure
• Interact with various internal IT support functions, Development, Operations, Quality and external 3rd party vendors to trouble shoot and resolve complex incidents

Requirements:

Technical skills:

• Higher education

• Experience with or in international/global companies
• Previous experience in Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server configuration/maintenance (Required)
• Microsoft Database Know how ( MS SQL2005 / SQL2008; SQL Expression)
• Basic Web Server knowledge, IIS6 or other Web Applications Servers
• ASP.NET/C# programming skills, experience in software development for MOSS platform is advantage
• MCSE/MCPs, vendor qualifications, professional qualifications is advantage

 Professional Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding/knowledge of key project management principles
• Experience of working in applications support
• A logical and systematic approach to problem resolution across a broad spectrum of technologies
• The ability to communicate technical information in a non-technical language to users
• English - at least intermediate level
