Responsibilities:

  • Research and development in the field of video technology(video acquisition, video coding, video processing, video transmission or intelligent video analyzing);
  • Develop prototypes from research results related to video related technologies.
  • Cooperate with industrial and academic communities (e.g. operators, research institutes) by cooperation projects, workshops, face to face meetings, etc.

Requirements:

  • Full doctor in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or Mathematics or Signal processing;
  • 9+ years of research experience in video coding and application technologies (e.g., video acquisition, video coding, video processing for encoding, video transmission, feature or structure based semantic video analyzing or video index and retrieval) with a proven track record (on standard proposals, patent filing, academic publication, or prototype development) within a well-known international telecommunication equipment vendor, operator, university or other organization;
  • Ability to plan and monitor project schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and innovate.
  • Extensive knowledge in multimedia application and services.
  • Open minded and willing to take challenge, willing to work under pressure.
  • Working experience in well-known industry company is preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and fluency in English.
  • Excellent cooperation skills with a wide variety of people, including but not limited to, engineering, R&D and standardization

Desirable skills:

  • Profound skill in digital signal processing;
  • Analytical skills: complexity, capacity, performance, quality, logistics, statistics;
  • Familiar with C/C++ programming, and Windows/Linux system
