Senior PHP Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented PHP developer to join our team working on a startup project in video sites area. Project is backed up by a large company led by experienced entrepreneurs located in Kyiv, Ukraine. As a member of our team, you will be working on back-end development, code optimization and testing. Project has a steep growth plan which will require constant addition of new features, using modern technologies and crafting application to support scalability and high loads.

Skills & Requirements

•   You should be very comfortable writing code in PHP.

•   Excellent programming skills in OOP with PHP 5

•   Expertise with  MVC technologies,  design patterns

•   Experience in design of relational databases, good knowledge of MySQL, queries optimization

•   Computer Science or Math degree and 3+ years web development experience

•   Experience  in PHP frameworks, e.g. Yii, CodeIgniter, Zend

•   Working knowledge of front-end technologies: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX

•   Ability and desire to learn new applications/processes/environments

•   Experience with VCS’s like SVN or Git

•   Proficient English language skills

•   Result-oriented team player, able to meet deadlines

•   Enthusiasm and a 'can do & will do' attitude

Bonus points for:

•   Experience building large scale web applications with high traffic and user base. Caching / Scaling (Memcached, APC, etc.)

•   Experience in designing, implementing, developing and delivering advanced web applications with methods to analyze and optimize code

•   Knowledge of best practices for PHP development, API development, etc.
