CLIENT is a leading provider of Web security and Email security solutions for organizations ranging from small businesses to the Global 2000. CLIENT supplies high-performance, technically-innovative products for managing and protecting enterprises' mission-critical networks from Internet threats. CLIENT offerings include network security, email security, anti-spam filtering, anti-virus protection, anti-spyware technology, email encryption and more. We are looking for a system administrator to implement policies, standards and procedures for ensuring the integrity of the monitoring infrastructure; implement scale and maintain monitoring solutions for CLIENT security applications.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

•          Working under the direction of the staff to perform daily commits of changes to monitoring infrastructure and configuration
•          Developing new monitors for services and applications run by Hosted Services
•          Support production operations and resolve requests for changes and  fixing malfunctioning monitors
•          Investigate issues with monitoring reported by production operations
•          On-call support rotation
•          Due diligence on new tools and solutions
•          Document requests for change and fixing malfunctioning systems and reports

Skills & Abilities:

•          The candidate may be required to fulfill on-call duties
•          Have skills in time management while working on multiple issues.
•          Understanding  SNMP, SMTP, XML, HTTP, TCP protocols is required.
•          Highly motivated, and able to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
•          Understanding of DNS, LDAP and networking essentials is recommended.
•          Knowledge of Django and Java is a plus
•          VMWare experience is a plus
•          Cacti and/or Nagios experience is desired.
•          Experience in designing and delivering monitoring solutions is a plus.

Education:

•           Bachelor degree or above

Experience:

•          4+ years working with Linux/Free BSD systems, including system administration skills
•          2+ years of experience with MySql or equivalent
•          2+ years experience in developing tools and scripting in Python and Perl
•          Web UI development experience is a plus
