About project:

Bipper is fast growing innovative company, founded by mother-of-three, Silje Vallestad in 2007. She founded the company when she realized that her six year old daughter’s friends had mobile phones and there were no safe mobile solutions available to satisfy her need as a parent. Bipper offers a safety solution which makes mobile phones safer and better adapted for the youngest mobile users (6-14). Through a personalized web portal, parents can determine who their children communicate with and when and how much their child can use the mobile phone. Bipper also offers a safety alarm and a localization service.

Bipper has previously been awarded the yearling prize at the 2010 Bully Award, the 2010 Mobile World Congress Mobile Premier Award, and the Silver/Samsung Award at SIMagine 2010.

The company’s headquarters are located in Bergen, Norway, with a branch office in New Jersey, USA.

Overview:

bSafe is Bippers newest project, which brings safety services to people of all ranges right to their mobile device. bSafe is a complex system evolving around mobile clients and a server. Bippers products all relate to safety, and uptime and robustness of the company's systems is critical.

Technical context:

Jave EE, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Spring Security, Gradle, Freemarker jQuery,Core Spring 3.1, Selenium  2.24, Hibernate 4.16, Freemarker 2.3.19, Groovy 1.8, Postgres

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

Required skills:

• Solid background with core Java and Java Web technologies (Servelt API);
• Core Spring;
• Experience with web services (both RESTful) experience;
• Relational databases knowledge (MySQL and PostgreSQL preferred);
• Test driven development experience (JUnit).
• Desired skills:
• Experience with Unix/Linux platforms;
• Experience with Maven or Gradle;
• Hibernate;
• Spring MVC;
• Spring security;
• Javascipt (JQuery);
• Freemarker template engine;
• Groovy;
• Selenium.
